Find your favorite place!

Be on your guard; stand firm in your faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Sometimes letting them run, play and explore is just what they need. Making a childhood memory can be a simple as finding your favorite place to roam together. How do you find such a place? There are plenty of local, and free, things to do! You just have to find the one that is right for you and your family. Remember, it may not be where you think it will be! Expand your usual ventures and end up at a local beachfront, a museum, or even a library or bookstore!

When you get to a new place, there are things that you, as a parent, can do for your family. Be patient! This is not about finding a place you can control. Make this day about observation. Does this place relax you and your family or does it cause high stress? Is there too much activity going on to where you can't allow them to be themselves? Is there true joy and interest in things surrounding your family or do you have to fake it? Take it slow. You may find that it takes a year (I know it seems like forever, but it's really not!) to explore and find your place. You may have to find your perfect spot in a particular season! Or, one for each season.

Much about finding your place is in the time you take, like a lot of things in your life, to cultivate it! It takes TIME! Don't rush it or you'll never really find it!

Barnes and Noble is one of our favorite adventures on a rainy day! They have quite a few activities and these activities don't cost much! PLUS, you can adventure through as many books as you would like, for as long as you would like!

Below is a local farm that we enjoy, as much as we can!
